A useful page watcher should make waiting less exhausting, not turn websites into something to fight with.

Keep a normal browser session

PageDog keeps a persistent local browser session. Cookies are not cleared on every check, and a page that needs you to sign in can be opened inside the app for you to resolve normally.

No tricks around challenges

Captchas, anti-bot challenges, and login walls are a boundary. The app does not solve them, rotate proxies, or use stealth techniques. It marks the watch as needing attention and asks you to take over.

Use a patient interval

The default five-minute interval is intentionally calm. It is appropriate for many schedules and stock pages without turning an ordinary page visit into aggressive polling.
