October is the next window worth watching, not a confirmed 2026 deadline. Ikon raised fall prices after October 10 in 2024 and named October 9 as the last day to save in 2025.
Key facts
| Question | Current answer |
|---|---|
| When did 2026–27 passes go on sale? | March 12, 2026, at spring’s advertised lowest prices. |
| What was the first announced price deadline? | Ikon’s official video said prices would go up after April 16. |
| What are the current adult 23+ prices? | Ikon Pass: from $1,449. Ikon Base Pass: from $1,019. |
| When is the next increase? | Ikon had not published another date as of August 20, 2026. |
| Is October guaranteed? | No. Early-to-mid October is a two-season historical pattern, not a 2026 announcement. |
| What should I use first? | Ikon’s own email options and, for 27/28, eligible auto renewal before adding a focused page watch. |
The confirmed 2026–27 Ikon Pass price timeline
Alterra’s official 2026–27 launch release put passes on sale March 12 and called spring the lowest-price period of the year. Its advertised starting prices were $1,349 for Ikon Pass, $924 for Ikon Base Pass, and $299 for Ikon Session Pass.
Those are “starting at” prices, not a promise that every adult would see the same amount. Age, renewal status, product, and special eligibility can change the offer. Compare the price for your exact pass rather than subtracting one headline number from another.

| Date | What changed | Evidence strength |
|---|---|---|
| March 12, 2026 | 26/27 passes went on sale at advertised spring starting prices. | Official Alterra release and Ikon video. |
| April 16, 2026 | Last announced day before the first price increase. | Official Ikon video published April 9. |
| April 19, 2026 | Buyers reported a short extension after website problems. | Customer-posted notice only; no matching official press page was located. |
| August 20, 2026 | Adult 23+ storefront prices started at $1,449 for Ikon Pass and $1,019 for Ikon Base Pass. | Official live product pages captured below. |
| Next increase | No date published. | Current official pages checked August 20. |
Ikon’s own countdown is the cleanest source for the first increase: it explicitly says prices go up after April 16.

Because that extension is not backed by a surviving official press page, use April 16 when citing the announced deadline and treat April 19 as a documented exception.

Why October is a watch window, not a promised date
Ikon’s two most recent fall notices landed in nearly the same part of the calendar:
| Season | Official fall notice | What it said |
|---|---|---|
| 2024–25 | September 26, 2024 | Current rates lasted through October 10; prices went up October 11. |
| 2025–26 | September 25, 2025 | October 9 was the last chance to save before prices went up. |
| 2026–27 | Not published as of August 20 | No fall increase date was available to confirm. |
That makes late September a sensible time to start checking and early-to-mid October a plausible decision window. It does not make October 9, 10, or 11 a reusable annual deadline. Two prior seasons are a small sample, and Ikon can change timing, amounts, products, or eligibility.
The last day passes remain on sale is a different event. A December off-sale date does not tell you whether prices will rise once or several times before then. If you already know you will buy, wait for an official 26/27 notice—not a copied date from a previous season.
Use Ikon’s native options first
The public Ikon storefront includes a “Stay in the Know” email signup. Use it, but do not assume it guarantees a message for every exact price change unless the signup copy says so. Returning pass holders should also review account-specific options rather than relying on public “from” pricing.
For next season, Ikon has added a stronger native option: its official 26/27 overview says eligible pass holders can opt in to auto renewal and receive a 27/28 pass at the best price of that season. That solves a different problem—it does not reveal the next 26/27 increase date—but it may remove the need to track the following launch manually.

Track only the missing price condition
If Ikon has not announced an exact deadline and its native signup does not cover the condition you need, watch the smallest stable block on the official product page: the season, pass name, age band, and visible price. Ask for a result such as “tell me when the adult 23+ Ikon Base Pass price changes or a dated price deadline appears.”
A focused PageDog watch is more reliable than monitoring the whole page, where mountain photography, promotions, and destination counts can rotate. The guide to tracking one price on any website explains how to preserve product and variant context, while reducing false website-change alerts covers stable region selection.
PageDog checks the selected visible area locally while the app is running and the Mac is awake and online. It does not buy a pass, enter checkout, bypass a CAPTCHA, predict Ikon’s schedule, or guarantee that a displayed offer remains available.
A practical buy-or-wait rule
- Buying 26/27: verify the price for your exact pass, age, and eligibility on Ikon’s official page. If the current total works for you, an unannounced future deadline is not evidence that waiting will save money.
- Waiting for a named deadline: use the official notice when it appears. Treat the 2024 and 2025 October dates as a reminder window only.
- Planning 27/28: check whether auto renewal and its terms fit your account before building another alert.
- Monitoring manually: watch one official price/deadline block and keep enough surrounding context to distinguish Ikon Pass from Base or Session Pass.
Bottom line
The only cleanly announced 2026–27 Ikon Pass price increase was after April 16. Current adult 23+ storefront prices started at $1,449 for Ikon Pass and $1,019 for Base on August 20. No next date was published, so watch for an official late-September notice without turning the historical October pattern into a promise.
