The official Masters ticket page is the source of truth. On August 20, 2026, it showed two states at once: the 2027 cycle was finished, while new applicants could prepare accounts for the 2028 application.

Use the site's Set Calendar Reminder option first. It directly covers the known June window and is more appropriate than treating every page change as urgent.

The 2024–2028 Masters application timeline

The table below preserves the public state for five consecutive tournament cycles. It separates confirmed historical dates from the still-incomplete 2028 row, so last year's price or payment deadline is not presented as a future promise.

The 2024 record comes from an Augusta Chronicle report republished by Yahoo Sports, the 2025 cycle from a contemporaneous Yahoo Sports application report, and the 2026 price change from Golf Digest. The 2027 and 2028 rows come from the current official ticket pages and public ticketing content.

The recurring June 1–20 pattern is now confirmed again for 2028, but do not copy the 2027 prices forward. Augusta National has announced the next window, not the next price card.

How to apply for Masters tickets

The application is online only. The official Ticket Information page says applications are accepted through a selection process after an online request; mailed applications are not accepted.

  1. Use the official account. New applicants can create an account before the window. If you already have one, sign in with the existing email and update that account rather than making another.
  2. Confirm eligibility and address. Applicants must be at least 21. Use one permanent residential address per household—not a student, temporary, second-home, business, PO box, or commercial-mail address.
  3. Request the days you could attend. You may apply for practice rounds, tournament rounds, or both. You can request every day, but a selected applicant can receive only one day.
  4. Submit before June 20. During an open cycle, the official FAQ says you may edit the application until the deadline.
  5. Save the confirmation and recheck the account. Email is the official notification channel, but the account is also the practical place to verify that the application was received and later see its status.

Do not create applications for friends, relatives, gifts, or resale. The official rules say duplicate, false, or misleading applications may be removed from consideration or have a ticket offer withdrawn.

Ticket limits and the last published prices

These are the official 2027 request limits and prices. They are useful for budgeting, but they are not confirmed 2028 prices.

There is no fee to submit an application. Payment is required only if selected. Daily Tournament tickets are selected first; applicants who also requested practice rounds and were not selected for a tournament day then enter the practice-round selection.

What happens after you submit

The official Masters ticket FAQ says all applicants are notified by email when selection is complete. Current applicant reports show why it is still sensible to check the account instead of waiting on the inbox alone.

In a June 2026 confirmation-email thread, applicants reported confirmation messages arriving hours later or not appearing while the portal already showed the application. In the July 2026 results thread, several applicants reported seeing a decision in the account before the email arrived. Those are community observations, not a guaranteed delivery timetable.

For 2027, the official ticketing content set August 7, 2026 as the payment deadline and stated that unpaid allocations would be forfeited. The 2028 exact deadline is not published yet. If selected, use your personal credit or debit card and follow the address requirements shown in the account; the FAQ says tickets are mailed in mid-March.

Mistakes that can invalidate or waste an application

  • Two household entries. The rule is one application per person and address—effectively one per household or family residing together.
  • Using the wrong address. A business, temporary, student, second-home, PO box, or commercial-mail address does not meet the published rule.
  • Making a replacement account. If your email or address changed, update the existing account through the official path instead of creating a second identity.
  • Missing the payment deadline. Selection is only an opportunity to purchase. An unpaid allocation is forfeited.
  • Treating third-party inventory as official. Augusta National says it is the only authorized source or seller and that resale is prohibited. The official ticket policies should be read before paying anyone else.
  • Following invented odds or “strategies.” Augusta National does not publish selection odds or say that an earlier submission, fewer requested days, or a particular quantity improves the draw.

Use the native reminder before adding a page monitor

The official page already supplies the known dates and a Set Calendar Reminder button. Use that first, create or update the account early, and put a separate reminder a few days before June 20 so the close date is not a single point of failure.

A focused PageDog watch can add one narrow layer: confirmation that the public status block actually changes from a future window to an open application, or that it publishes a new exact date or price. A goal could be: “Tell me when the official Masters ticket page says 2028 applications are open or publishes the 2028 ticket prices.”

Select only the stable 2028 status block shown in the first screenshot. The guide to reducing false website-change alerts explains why a small region is better than the whole Masters page, which also contains navigation, sponsors, scores, and rotating content. The respectful page-watching guide covers conservative schedules and stopping once the result arrives.

PageDog runs checks locally while the app is open and the Mac is awake and online. It cannot create or submit a Masters application, sign in for you, read a protected lottery result, pass reCAPTCHA, pay for tickets, improve selection odds, reserve inventory, or bypass any ticketing control.

Frequently asked questions

When does the 2028 Masters ticket application open?

The official page says the 2028 application window runs June 1 through June 20. Because applications are for the following April's tournament, those dates fall in 2027.

How much does it cost to apply for Masters tickets?

Submitting the application is free. If selected, you pay the published face value and any applicable shipping and handling. The 2028 prices have not yet been published.

Can two people at the same address apply?

No. The official ticket information allows only one application per person and address, described as one per household or family residing together.

Can I apply for every day?

Yes. You may request any or all practice and tournament days, but a selected applicant can receive only one day. The most recently published limits were four tickets per practice day and two per tournament day.

When are Masters ticket lottery results announced?

The official guidance says late July. Email is the official notification method, but 2026 applicants reported that the account sometimes showed the decision before the email arrived.

Do I need to apply again every year?

Yes. An account registration or a past application does not automatically enter the next cycle. Log in and complete a new application during that year's window.

Bottom line

The 2027 Masters application is over. Prepare the correct account now, use the official calendar reminder for June 1–20, 2027, and do not treat 2027 prices as confirmed for 2028. After submitting, verify the account as well as email and pay immediately if selected.
