In-N-Out New Locations: Opening Soon or Already Open?

Find In-N-Out's new locations in the official locator's Opening Soon list, then look for a dated company announcement. A proposed restaurant or a coming-soon label does not establish that an address is open today.

Start with In-N-Out's own location map

Open the official In-N-Out location map, open its menu and choose Opening Soon. Match the full address, not just the city. For a specific opening day, check the company's Media Kit and press releases.

This guide covers the United States, with sources checked October 9, 2026. During that morning check, the locator's Opening Soon filter returned these five locations:

City and stateAddress displayed
Chino, California8245 Pine Ave.
Commerce, California6232 Craig Ln.
Hendersonville, Tennessee100 N. Anderson Lane
South El Monte, California1221 Santa Anita Ave.
Stockton, California10537 Trinity Pkwy.

This is a snapshot of one live filter. It is not a complete list of every restaurant opened during 2026, every proposed site, or all future expansion plans. A location can leave the filter after opening; an older news story may continue calling it “new” for months.

Stockton shows why the date and the label need separate checks

In-N-Out's October 8, 2026 press release (PDF) announces its Stockton restaurant at 10537 Trinity Parkway, with service beginning October 9, 2026. The locator still included that address under Opening Soon during our early check on October 9.

Those observations are not evidence that the restaurant opened late or that the map was wrong. The check occurred before the announced day's normal opening time in California. The press release supplies a calendar date; the map supplies a location status. Neither an early-morning screenshot nor this article is proof that the doors are open at the moment you read it.

For a visit, return to the official listing and check the local hours. If the status and announcement still leave you uncertain, contact In-N-Out through its official channels before traveling. Use the address to distinguish this new Stockton restaurant from other restaurants serving the same city.

Write a useful note as “10537 Trinity Parkway — opening announced for October 9, 2026; recheck before departure.” A note saying only “Stockton opens Friday” becomes ambiguous as soon as someone forwards it next week.

A proposed restaurant is a different kind of news

Some official pages describe a planning proposal rather than an opening. For example, the company's Culver City project page describes a proposed restaurant at Sepulveda Boulevard and Sawtelle Boulevard in the Studio Village Shopping Center. That is useful evidence of a proposal, but it does not establish a confirmed opening date.

Do not turn a planning meeting, a construction permit or a hiring notice into a promised opening day. Even an official project page can remain available after a meeting date has passed. Read what the date actually refers to.

What you foundHow to use it
Official project proposalIt describes a potential site. Look for a later, dated opening announcement.
Opening Soon entryIt identifies an upcoming address. Check for a release and current status.
Dated opening releaseIt announces a start date. Check local hours and any later update.
Current restaurant listingIt confirms a listing exists. Read the explicit status before assuming it is operating.

This simple classification also helps when search results mix several states. An expansion headline about Tennessee does not tell you the status of a proposed California restaurant, even when both stories mention the same chain.

Use videos and older opening lists as context

KCRA 3's report below was published May 6, 2026. It covers plans for six locations in six states. That is a historical announcement, not an alternative count for the five entries shown in the October 9 locator check.

When a video or article says “this year,” record its publication year. Then extract the location you care about and verify that address on the official map. Avoid combining old and new lists into a supposedly complete national count: some restaurants may have opened, disappeared from the coming-soon filter or remained proposals.

Our guide to checking when a website was updated explains why a search-result date, an article date and the current state of a page can differ. The source's date is part of the answer, not a decoration beneath the headline.

Watch the next announcement for one location

For a one-off trip, a bookmark and a check before departure are usually enough. A monitor becomes useful when you are waiting for a particular official page to announce a concrete date and do not want to keep revisiting it.

On a Mac, PageDog can check a selected visible area for a specific condition. Choose the relevant location name and announcement together. For a proposal without a date, a useful goal is: “Notify me when this page announces a definite opening date for this restaurant.” Include the address in the goal when several locations appear nearby.

If a date is already visible, do not set a goal that is already satisfied. Decide whether you need a revised date or an explicit statement that the restaurant is now open. Run a check and inspect the selected evidence before relying on the alert. A broad homepage watch can react to unrelated announcements; reducing false website-change alerts starts with a smaller, relevant area.

PageDog checks locally on an awake, connected Mac and uses hosted AI to evaluate selected evidence. It cannot discover unpublished plans, verify the physical doors or guarantee the source is current. After an alert, reopen the official page and confirm the address and date. For other chains, keep separate sources and watches; the ALDI opening guide uses a different announcement system.
