Enshrouded Roadmap: What Is Released Before 1.0?

Enshrouded’s Steam 1.0 release is scheduled for October 15, 2026. Update 8, Forging the Path, already shipped on April 21. As of October 8, the September combat article previews 1.0; it is not a released patch.

Start with official news, then check your installed version

Open Keen Games’ news page and the game’s Steam page. For an existing player, the platform’s news and available update are the simplest starting point. Follow the official channel you already use before adding another monitoring tool.

A roadmap describes intended work. A release announcement states a launch target. Patch notes tell you what a particular version changed. Keeping those three records separate is more useful than copying every feature from an old graphic into a “coming next” list.

This guide was checked October 8, 2026, one week before the announced Steam launch. It distinguishes what a returning player can investigate now from what still needs release-day confirmation. It does not claim to have tested the unreleased 1.0 build.

Read the roadmap in date order

The January 21 anniversary announcement described an autumn 1.0 release and presented the year’s development plans. The June 25 release-date announcement subsequently named October 15 for leaving Early Access on Steam.

A later announcement can narrow an earlier seasonal window without making every earlier wish a guaranteed launch feature. When a search result still describes “Spring 2026” as upcoming, open its source and date before relying on it.

What Update 8 already changed

The April 21 release notes identify Forging the Path as Update 8, version 0.9.1.0. Its major changes include the first version of Adventure Sharing, a combat overhaul, a rebuilt skill tree and equipment upgrades.

Adventure Sharing already lets players upload their worlds and browse or download community creations inside the game. That does not mean every later sharing tool is already available. The same notes describe further interactive elements, puzzles, enemies and traps as future work.

For a returning character, check the release notes before heading into a difficult encounter: this update refunds allocated skill points because of the tree rework. Reassign them and review equipment upgrades and changed controls. That practical preparation matters more than treating the next launch date as a reason to ignore the update you already have.

If a guide labels all Adventure Sharing as unreleased, it misses that first stage. If it says every planned sharing capability shipped in April, it goes too far in the other direction.

Which 1.0 features still need confirmation?

The official September 23 combat preview discusses additional spells, a heavy attack for wands and higher progression limits. These are examples of announced 1.0 changes. The article’s closing reference to the October release is essential context, even when individual paragraphs describe mechanics in the present tense.

The August 27 development update also emphasizes improvements to the existing experience and performance, with more detail to come in the release changelog. A general optimization promise does not establish a particular frame rate on your hardware.

Use a small personal checklist instead of trying to validate the entire roadmap:

  • Write the exact feature that would make you return, such as a particular spell or sharing tool.
  • Record the official article announcing it and that article’s date.
  • Mark it previewed until release notes explicitly include it.
  • After updating, confirm that your installed version and platform match those notes.

This avoids turning a developer’s future-tense plan into a recommendation based on an unavailable mechanic.

Do not transfer a Steam date to every platform

The June announcement explicitly names Steam. The checked official FAQ discusses bringing the game to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, but that answer does not provide exact console release dates. Its older wording also makes it unsuitable as a complete current calendar.

For a console purchase decision, look for a dated announcement naming that console or its platform store. A logo in a footer, a demonstration at an event or a PC release date does not by itself establish console availability or cross-play. This guide therefore makes no console launch or cross-play promise.

Independent guides such as Hack the Minotaur’s 2026 roadmap can help locate topics to investigate. Follow their primary links for timing and distinguish confirmed details from the author’s expectations.

Watch for the announcement that answers your question

Official news and platform updates may be sufficient. If you only want to hear about a particular visible release statement, PageDog’s watch workflow can add a local Mac check.

Select the official news area containing the latest headline, date and summary. For example: “Notify me when the visible Enshrouded news announces that version 1.0 is released on Steam, rather than presenting a preview or planned date.” Run a check and inspect the captured evidence. If the summary does not establish the result, open the linked article manually.

For a specific feature, select a stable relevant section and describe the evidence required. The website-change guide explains area selection; the false-alert guide helps make the condition precise.

PageDog checks visible evidence locally on an awake, connected Mac, with hosted AI evaluating the selected evidence. It does not inspect unreleased builds, install updates or prove a feature from text outside the chosen area. Monitoring a game’s website on a Mac also does not imply that the game supports macOS.

Next checkpoint: revisit the official release notes on October 15, then verify the feature and platform that matter to you. Until those notes appear, keep released changes, dated plans and undated possibilities separate.
