When Do Lollapalooza Tickets Go on Sale? 2027 Status

When do Lollapalooza tickets go on sale for Chicago 2027? The official ticket page checked September 20, 2026 gives no sale date. Use the festival's update signup; March 19 was the 2026 sale.

Start with the Chicago festival's own updates

Open the official Lollapalooza ticket page and its update signup. The current ticket page invites visitors to hear about the 2027 dates, lineup and more. That is the simplest starting point while the next sale is unannounced.

Read the signup choices before submitting your own details. Receiving festival updates does not reserve a ticket, join a checkout queue or establish that a particular pass will remain available. Once an announcement arrives, follow the purchase link from the festival website.

This guide concerns Lollapalooza Chicago at Grant Park. A headline about another Lollapalooza city can be correct and still answer the wrong question. Confirm the city and festival year before copying any date into your calendar.

What the ticket page currently tells you

Our September 20 check found a retained 2026 Tickets heading above the invitation for 2027 updates. It did not give a 2027 Chicago presale or public-sale date. The old heading and the new signup can coexist; neither makes an old purchase schedule current.

Use this small decision table when you encounter an announcement or a shared screenshot:

This is a dated source check, not a live inventory service. Reopen the official page when making a purchasing decision, especially if the page has changed since the capture.

The confirmed 2026 sale had two different start times

The promoter's March 18, 2026 announcement separated the Thursday, March 19 presale at 10 a.m. Central Time from the public sale at 11 a.m. Central Time. It described four-day tickets and a first-hour presale offer.

Those details explain why two different hours can appear in otherwise accurate coverage. They do not establish when 2027 tickets will be released. The festival dates in that same announcement, July 30–August 2, 2026, were attendance dates rather than ticket-sale dates.

SeatGeek's 2026 guide also distinguishes the four-day release from later single-day and two-day passes. Its retained expectations belong to that reporting period. For a future sale, look for a fresh organizer announcement naming the pass you want instead of extrapolating from this timetable.

A useful calendar entry contains five things: Chicago, festival year, pass type, sale stage, and the organizer's time zone. For example, “Chicago 2026 four-day public sale, March 19, 11 a.m. CT” is unambiguous as a historical record. Replacing only the year would turn that record into an unsupported prediction.

What “tickets on sale” meant in the news

CBS Chicago's March 19, 2026 report captures the beginning of that season's sale. It is useful context for how quickly the conversation moves from an announcement to availability, but it is not evidence that a 2027 sale has opened.

A sold-out pass and a new sale are different questions

The festival's ticket-purchasing guidance directs buyers toward Front Gate Tickets and the Ticketmaster Verified Exchange. Its sold-out ticket help page points to the verified exchange for resale.

That gives you a separate route when the specific ticket type you want is unavailable. A resale listing does not announce a new primary sale, and a new public sale does not guarantee every pass type will be offered. Always verify the year, number of days and admission category before proceeding.

For a fuller explanation of tickets appearing after an initial release, see our guide to additional Ticketmaster tickets. If you are comparing festivals, Coachella's sale and waitlist guide explains a different organizer's mechanisms; its dates and waitlist rules should not be transferred to Lollapalooza.

Follow the exact announcement you are waiting for

Official updates remain the first choice. If you want a narrower alert about a visible announcement, PageDog can check a selected region of the public ticket page on your Mac.

Choose the heading and announcement area together, including enough context to identify Chicago and the year. An example goal is: “Notify me when this region announces a Chicago 2027 ticket sale with a date and time.” Inspect the saved baseline and run a manual check before enabling a schedule. If the page does not reliably reload with that content visible, use the native updates instead.

The PageDog documentation covers region selection and tracking conditions. This proposed watch has not been tested against a future Lollapalooza release. Checks require the app to be running and your Mac to be awake and online; selected evidence is evaluated by hosted AI. PageDog does not bypass queues, buy tickets or guarantee remaining inventory.

Decision rule: subscribe to official news now, set a calendar reminder when the organizer publishes a complete sale announcement, and treat every resale opportunity as a separate purchasing decision.
