Start with Coachella's own announcements
Use the official Coachella website and festival newsletter for news about the next sale. The newsletter offers festival updates, news and offers. Read the subscription choices yourself; signing up for marketing updates is different from requesting tickets.
Check the festival year, weekend and sale stage in every announcement. The 2027 festival is scheduled for April 9–11 and April 16–18 in Indio, California. Those are attendance dates, not the dates when another batch of passes goes on sale.

What the official pages actually showed
On September 17, the homepage said “2027 Advance Sale Passes No Longer Available.” It also offered weekend-specific waitlist links and advertised hotel packages. That combination matters: a closed advance sale does not mean every way of attending has the same availability.

The 2027 Passes page distinguishes pass options. Its general-admission section showed no availability, while the GA-and-shuttle option pointed to separate weekend waitlists. Treat those as individual states rather than turning one label into a claim that the whole festival is sold out.

Do not turn an old sale date into the next one
The advance-sale information page still explains that earlier sale's arrangements. A page describing how an advance-sale payment plan worked does not prove that the same offer remains open. The current availability message carries a different job from the retained explanatory copy.
Established coverage also has a date. Pollstar's April 20 announcement reported the May 1 advance sale. Time Out's festival guide gives broader planning context. Neither an earlier sale date nor the timing of a previous festival supplies a confirmed date for the next general sale.
A useful check for any newly shared announcement is:
- Does it explicitly say 2027?
- Does it concern a new general sale, an earlier advance sale or a restricted offer?
- Does it name the applicable weekend and pass type?
- Is there a date, time and time zone from the organizer?
- Does its purchase link come from the current official site?
Once a new sale is announced, save its stated time zone with your reminder. Do not copy a remembered hour from another year or a screenshot without its original context.
A waitlist can buy the pass for you
Coachella's 2027 waitlist and resale guide describes a refundable deposit, automatic purchase and charging when passes become available, and no guarantee that a request will be filled. It also says payment plans are unavailable for these options.
That makes the waitlist a different choice from “send me a message so I can decide.” Review the current terms and total for the exact request before joining. This article does not enroll you, recommend a commitment or verify fulfillment speed.
If you want to hear about a sale and then choose manually, use the announcement channels first. If you want the official automatic-purchase mechanism, read its rules directly. A waitlist position and an announcement subscription should never be treated as interchangeable.
Put video advice in its original time frame
Angel Chavez's May 2, 2026 video discusses the preceding advance sale and the experience of trying to get passes. It offers a fan's perspective on why waiting for another opportunity can be confusing.
This is independent commentary, not a Coachella announcement. In particular, the creator's expectation about a later sale should not be read as a confirmed date. Use the current official status above for the decision you are making today.

Watch the public announcement if you want to decide manually
When native festival updates are too broad for the exact announcement you need, a PageDog watch can follow a small visible region of the public Coachella page on your Mac.
An example goal is: “Notify me when this region announces a new 2027 general ticket sale, including its date and time.” Include enough context to distinguish a general sale from a hotel package or the old advance-sale information. Inspect the saved baseline before scheduling checks.
