Google Summer Internship 2027: Dates and Applications

Google summer internship 2027 applications are open for selected roles. The US bachelor's software engineering listing gives September 25, 2026 as its anticipated closing date and may close earlier. Other roles and countries have different deadlines; check the exact vacancy.

Match the deadline to a specific role

There is no single application deadline for every Google summer internship. A title, degree level and country together identify the opportunity. “Summer 2027” describes when you would intern; many applications happen during 2026.

Here are three official listings checked on September 15, 2026. They are examples of the different windows, not a complete catalog or a promise that a vacancy will remain open.

Official role and locationPublished application timing
Software Engineering Intern, BS — United StatesAnticipated close: September 25, 2026; may close earlier if projects fill.
Silicon Engineering Intern, BS/MS — United StatesComplete the application before October 9, 2026.
Application Engineering Intern — IndiaSubmit no later than September 15, 2026.

The India listing requires residence in India for the internship and an expected graduation date in 2028. The US Silicon Engineering description targets students in their penultimate academic year. Do not transfer one listing's eligibility or deadline to another just because both contain “engineering.”

Use the Google internships hub to find the program that fits. Then read the actual posting before preparing an application. When a page has closed, search the official catalog for the exact role and season instead of relying on a copied job-board description.

Why July and September both appear in search results

Google published a separate early-consideration US software engineering posting. It gave July 24, 2026 as its anticipated closing date and said applications would open again during the regular fall recruiting cycle.

The current US BS listing is a different URL and now gives September 25. An article discussing July may accurately describe the early window while still being the wrong page to use for today's decision. Compare the job identifier in the URL as well as the title.

“Rolling” means applications are considered as they arrive. Treat the published closing date as the outside planning boundary stated by that listing, not a reason to wait until the last evening. If you are ready and meet its requirements, proceed through the official application page.

Prepare the documents before opening the form

The checked engineering listings request an updated résumé or CV and a current official or unofficial transcript in English, with PDFs preferred. The Silicon Engineering instructions also ask for your expected graduation date in month/year format on the résumé.

Build a small checklist for each role:

  • Exact job title, location and season.
  • Required qualifications and the coursework or projects that demonstrate them.
  • Expected graduation date and availability during the internship.
  • The correct résumé version and a readable transcript.
  • The official application URL and its published closing language.

This is more useful than collecting dozens of links labeled simply “Google intern.” Keep degree level and country visible in your notes so you do not prepare for a program that cannot fit your schedule.

If you are comparing programs, keep a separate row for Microsoft Explore 2027. Its eligibility and recruiting timetable should not be inferred from Google's.

Use Google's job alerts for new openings

Google Careers already offers email alerts for newly posted jobs that match your search. Start there when your goal is to discover another suitable internship.

The official alert instructions describe searching with your criteria, adding an alert for that search, choosing daily, weekly or monthly frequency, and saving it. A Google Account is required. Check that your criteria include the role and location you actually want; a broad engineering search can return unrelated senior jobs.

These alerts concern new matching jobs. The documentation does not promise an email for every wording change inside a vacancy you already found. Keep a calendar reminder for your own application target date, independently of any alert.

Watch a deadline change on a shortlisted vacancy

PageDog is useful for the narrower case where you are already considering one posting and want to know if its visible deadline changes. It is not necessary just to receive new-job emails.

Open that public vacancy in PageDog on your Mac. Select the title and deadline notice, excluding unrelated search results. A specific goal for the current US BS listing is “Tell me if this role's anticipated application closing date changes from September 25, 2026.” Choose a daily check and confirm that the saved baseline contains that exact notice.

When the goal matches, inspect the captured evidence and return to Google Careers. If you have already applied, use your application account and Google's communications to follow your candidacy. A public vacancy change cannot tell you whether your personal application succeeded.

PageDog checks run locally while the app is running and your Mac is awake and online; hosted AI receives selected evidence for evaluation. It does not submit applications or bypass a login or security challenge. See the PageDog documentation for setup and attention states.

Decision rule: apply to a suitable open role when ready, use Google's native alerts to discover new roles, and watch a particular public notice only when a change would affect your plan. Always attach the country, degree level and job URL to a deadline.
