IKEA New Locations: US Openings and Store Formats

Find IKEA’s new US locations in its official store finder, then check each location’s opening date and format. Tulsa is listed as opening October 23, 2026. Small stores, planning points and pickup locations offer different services.

Start with the current US store finder

Open IKEA’s US store finder before using an expansion list from search. It separates stores, small stores and Plan & order points with pickup. Follow the city link for the address, hours and services that apply to that location.

This guide checks the United States on October 19, 2026. It compares confirmed examples, rather than claiming to list a complete worldwide pipeline. A city named in an earlier annual expansion announcement may already have opened. Another may still be coming soon. Neither the year in a headline nor a map pin settles that distinction.

LocationOfficial opening recordStatus in the October checkPractical distinction
Phoenix, ArizonaApril 8, 2026Listed with current store hoursSmall-format store; separate from Tempe and Scottsdale
Rockwall, TexasMay 13, 2026Listed with current store hoursNew store with a curated takeaway range
Tulsa, OklahomaOctober 23, 2026Coming soonSmall store; do not visit before the announced opening

For Phoenix, the April 2 company announcement gives the April 8 opening. For Rockwall, the May 6 announcement gives May 13. Today’s finder provides the operating-location check; those releases establish the announced milestones.

Read Tulsa’s date as a future opening

The IKEA Tulsa store page explicitly says Coming soon! Opening October 23, 2026. Its address is 7309 South Olympia Avenue, Tulsa, OK 74132. It lists opening-day hours of 10 a.m.–8 p.m., followed by 11 a.m.–8 p.m., Monday–Sunday, beginning October 24. These are local store hours, not Lisbon time.

The store page is a better immediate planning source than a headline saying the company celebrates an opening. Such wording can appear before the event. Keep the date beside the claim: on October 19, an October 23 opening remains future even if surrounding promotional text welcomes shoppers.

Before travelling, revisit the page and check for a revised announcement. Do not convert a planned date into a guarantee that every service or product will be ready. Opening-day arrangements and regular hours can also differ, as Tulsa’s two sets of hours demonstrate.

Match the format to your shopping task

The word location covers several experiences. A small store can have room settings, planning help and products to take away without stocking the entire online range. A Plan & order point with pickup is separately labeled in the finder. Check its own services instead of expecting the same visit as a large furniture store.

For example, IKEA’s Phoenix announcement describes more than 4,000 products on display and more than 3,000 for immediate takeaway. Those numbers describe different groups. They do not promise that a particular sofa, color or package is available today.

Rockwall’s announcement similarly distinguishes over 6,000 products from more than 3,800 ready for immediate takeaway. Its central planning area and Swedish Bistro belong to that specific store’s announcement. Avoid carrying those amenities into another city’s listing without checking.

Use this decision sequence:

  1. Find the exact city and address in IKEA’s country-specific finder.
  2. Read the format label and the location’s service list.
  3. Check the opening status and today’s hours.
  4. For a purchase, verify the exact product’s local availability separately.
  5. For an ordered item, follow the collection instructions for that order.

Treat expansion videos as dated context

USA TODAY’s February 18, 2026 report summarizes plans for ten US locations during the year. It helps explain why older lists include cities that have since reached a later stage. It does not replace today’s individual store pages.

The distinction also matters when a result keeps an old publication date but updates its headline. Read the actual milestone and compare it with current primary information. Our Buc-ee’s new-location guide applies that verification method to another retailer; each company’s own records still control its dates.

Follow one store’s visible opening notice

The finder and store page solve the immediate lookup. If you want to notice a later change to one opening notice, PageDog can check a selected visible area locally on your Mac. On Tulsa’s page, the city heading and yellow opening panel give a specific region to select.

An example condition is: “The IKEA Tulsa opening notice explicitly says the store is now open, rather than coming soon.” This is an example of what to watch for, not a claim that IKEA will necessarily use those words. Reload before saving the watch and verify that the intended city and notice remain visible.

Use the PageDog setup instructions to choose that area and describe the outcome. When a match arrives, open the store page yourself and check the current date, address and hours. If the announcement moves outside the selected area, adjust the selection.

PageDog does not research every linked city, infer that a date has passed or confirm a store’s real-world operation. Checks require your Mac to be available. A visible match is a prompt to verify your visit, not a reservation, inventory guarantee or substitute for IKEA’s current information.

Decide before you drive

Use the official finder for the address and format, the local page for the opening notice and hours, and the product listing for the item you want. Keep future openings labeled as future. That three-part check is more useful than counting every store, planning point and pickup address as interchangeable.
